Palestine launched a mass vaccination campaign against coronavirus across the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. “We received a shipment of 37,440 doses of coronavirus vaccines and we sent 11,600 doses of them to the Gaza Strip. Also, we received 25,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccines and we sent 9,600 doses to the Gaza Strip. In mid-April we expect to receive a new shipment of 100,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine from China, 50,000 from Russia, 129,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Furthermore, we are managing to buy two million doses of the coronavirus vaccines.” Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh said.
On Sunday, 2,247 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed, taking the total number of cases to 223,638. According to the Health Ministry, the death toll rose by 21 to 2,427.
