Three people suffocated as a result of a massive fire in a 10-storey residential building last night in Nasr City, northeast of Cairo, local sources stated. Civil protection forces, firefighters, ambulances, and security forces rushed to the scene and were able to put out the fire, the sources added. The fire, the cause of which is unknown, resulted in massive material losses. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals, and an investigation into the cause of the fire was launched.
