A massive fire started at a chemical plant in LaSalle, Illinois, USA, and the flames spread quickly. The police warned residents not to approach green-colored oxidizer as the substance was released following the fire. According to the company’s statement, all workers were rescued and no injuries were reported. La Salle fire chief Jerry Janick confirmed that chemical plant had been greatly damaged and the fire was contained with hours of effort.
Although the fire began in the plant’s shipping area, the cause of the fire is unknown. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
