A fire broke out in a factory that manufactures heat insulation boards, construction chemicals, and packaging in Bursa, Turkey. Black smoke quickly covered the sky, which could be seen from many locations throughout the city.
The factory, which was rendered inoperable after the fire, was viewed from the air using a drone.
Türkiye has introduced its most destructive conventional aircraft bomb, the MK84 GAZAP, at the IDEF 2025 defense fair. Developed by the Ministry of National Defense, GAZAP weighs 2,000 pounds and can be deployed from F-16 and F-4 jets.
With a particle dispersion radius of 1 kilometer and a density of 10.16 particles per square meter, GAZAP delivers a high-pressure blast three times more powerful than standard bombs. Field testing is underway following lab evaluations. The weapon’s wide-area impact has drawn attention from the international defense community.
