A strange coincidence occurred in Türkiye’s Bingöl province as meteor fragments fell into the city on the same day after eight years had passed. Meteorite falls were observed in many cities in the Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia regions. On Saturday, September 2, at around 20:30, an object presumed to be a meteorite fragment was found in the garden of a house in Bingöl’s central district. The rare coincidence left the homeowners both shocked and excited, as people who found fragments in 2015 made money by selling them.

“I was outside on the evening of September 2, between 20:00 and 20:30, when the sky suddenly lit up. At first, we thought it was an earthquake. After that, a sound came from the roof, and something fell into the garden. We wanted to look, and we found a meteorite-like stone. My uncle took it for examination. I hope it is a meteorite and is valuable,” said the homeowner.

Pink oleander trees have transformed the mountain slopes of Kozan’s Memili Neighborhood in Adana, Türkiye, into a colorful spectacle. Despite being known as the “flower of death” due to their toxicity, the blooming trees are attracting photographers and nature lovers.

Local visitor Filiz Sakin said, “Although it’s called poisonous, oleander is also used in medicine. The late bloom this year was worth the wait.” The striking scenery was also captured with aerial drone footage.
