Yusufeli Dam, Türkiye’s tallest dam and the fifth highest in the world, has generated 3.1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity since 2024, contributing approximately 8.4 billion liras to the national economy. Built on the Çoruh River in Artvin with local engineering, the 275-meter-high dam supports renewable energy, reduces energy imports, and supplies power to around 750,000 homes annually. Authorities expect production to rise further as the dam reaches full capacity.
