mexican authorities issue orange alert due to Hurricane Beatriz

Mexico’s National Meteorological Service said that Hurricane Beatriz, which formed in the Pacific Ocean, is approaching the country’s territory. The hurricane, which is traveling at 20 kilometers per hour, is expected to reach the land in the state of Michoacan at around 6 p.m. local time. Authorities said that Hurricane Beatriz could cause severe flooding and landslides and issued an orange alert in the states of Colima, Michoacan and Jalisco.
