Mexico Battling Widespread Forest Fires

Forest fires continue to devastate parts of Mexico, particularly in Hidalgo and Veracruz states. In Hidalgo, 10 houses have been evacuated, and 39,930 hectares of land have been destroyed. The fires in Veracruz have consumed 150 hectares of land. Overall, there are 86 active forest fires across the country, with firefighting efforts involving 3,099 personnel and 6 helicopters. No deaths or injuries have been reported.
