Storms and heavy rain in the state of Baja California have caused flooding and landslides. Two girls died as a result of their house collapsing during the storm in Tijuana, and two people drowned in the flood waters. One person was rescued with injuries from the rubble. Floods and landslides have destroyed some homes in Tijuana, knocked down numerous trees and power poles, and left at least 87,000 people without electricity. Several cities in the region have suspended classes due to the disaster. The National Meteorological Service has warned that the bad weather is expected to continue for the next 24 hours, with more heavy rain, snow in higher elevations, and winds reaching up to 90 kilometers per hour.
