Popocatepetl Volcano, located in the Mexican state of Mexico, has been spewing ash and smoke for the past 24 hours, Mexico’s National Center for Prevention of Disasters announced. Smoke and ash from the volcano were heading towards the states of Puebla, Morelos, and Mexico, according to civil defense officials, with ashfall forecast in municipalities around the volcano. Authorities urged residents to wear mask and keep their doors and windows closed to avoid poisoning.
