Hundreds of pelicans were spotted in Hatay’s Arsuz Sea, which is on the migration route in Türkiye. It is estimated that the pelicans spent the breeding season in Russia and are heading to Iran, India, and Nepal for the winter, as they do every year. The moments of the flock flying just above sea level and then towards the higher parts of the mountains formed unique images.
“We caught the pelicans at a very good time. They approached us from sea level, then rose and went towards the mountains. We witnessed a very beautiful moment,” said Suat Yiğit, an amateur fisherman.
