Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and 4 ministers were detained by military forces. Hamdok is reportedly under arrest in unknown location. It was reported that internet access is not provided in the capital Khartoum. Hundreds of people started protesting in the streets after the disappearance of Prime Minister Hamdok, burning tires and closing the roads to traffic. The airport in the city has been closed to international flights.
