Authorities stated that the lifeless body of 1 person out of the 3 people who disappeared was found near the Misox Valley in the canton of Grisons in the south of Switzerland, where a landslide occurred due to heavy rainfall and melting snow.
Police said they were continuing the search efforts, but it was unlikely the other casualties would be found alive.
Swiss meteorological service officials stated that the region received 124 millimeters of precipitation in approximately 1 hour, which occurs once every 30 years.
