Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas appointed Muhammad Mustafa to replace Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, who resigned from his post last month.
Mustafa, who is a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, had been serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Palestine Investment Fund and senior economic advisor to President Abbas.
