A landslide occurred during road construction in the Yüncüler village of Artvin’s Yusufeli district, cutting off vehicle access to a neighborhood of about 20 households. The moment of the collapse was captured on video by a construction equipment operator.

The incident took place while Provincial Special Administration teams were digging foundations to rebuild a wall on a road previously damaged by a recent landslide. As the road and existing wall suddenly gave way, workers who had noticed early signs of soil movement managed to move to safety, avoiding injury.

Repair efforts are ongoing to reopen the road and restore access to the area.
