Monsoon Floods Kill 985 in Pakistan

Severe monsoon rains since June 26 have left 985 dead and 1,062 injured across Pakistan, officials said. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded the highest toll with 504 deaths, followed by Punjab with 287.

In Punjab, more than 4,700 villages were flooded as the Chenab and Ravi rivers overflowed, affecting 4.5 million people and forcing over 2 million to evacuate. Authorities continue rescue and relief operations nationwide.
