According to a report released today by Thailand’s Disaster Prevention Department, the number of people killed in floods and landslides triggered by monsoon rains and Typhoon Yagi since August 14 has risen to 33, with 11,000 households affected by the disasters.
At least 9 people died yesterday in the northern cities of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai due to the typhoon.
