The number of people who died in Pakistan due to the adverse effects of monsoon rains since July 1 has risen to 260. Authorities reported that 98 people have died in Punjab province, 77 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 55 in Sindh province and 30 in Balochistan province.

A new precipitation record was broken in Multan, Punjab, after 48 years, according to the Pakistan Water and Sanitation Authority.
