The death toll continues to rise in various parts of Pakistan due to continuing floods caused by monsoon rains.
Punjab provincial officials reported that 6 people died in the province and that a new precipitation record was set after 44 years in Lahore.
Anwar Shehzad, the spokesman for the disaster management agency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, announced that the number of people who died in the floods rose to 24 in 3 days. Twelve of the deceased were children, the Pakistani official added.
