The Rádio Clube neighborhood in Brazil’s Sao Paulo turned into a disaster area due to a large fire that broke out around 10:30 local time on September 4. More than 100 wooden houses built on stilts were completely burned, displacing thousands of residents. Authorities say that at least 15 people were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation, but no information on fatalities was given. The fire was contained by a team of 43 firefighters four hours later.
