More than 100 tons of humanitarian supplies from Georgia to Turkey

After the devastating earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, Georgia has sent more than 100 tons of humanitarian supplies and allocated 1 million laris for the earthquake victims. It was stated that the aid cargo contained first aid kits, medicines, medical supplies, baby food, emergency supplies, uniforms, thick clothes, tents, generators, sleeping bags, dry food, canned food, and other supplies.

“We are grateful to the Georgian government and the Georgian people, to our Georgian brothers. Thank you, Georgia,” said the Turkish Ambassador to Tbilisi, Ali Kaan Orbay.

Georgia was one of the first countries to offer help to Türkiye after the earthquakes. On the first day of the earthquake, a Georgian special search-and-rescue team of 60 personnel was sent to Adıyaman, followed by a team of 40 people and equipment. The people of Georgia also provided financial aid to Turkey.
