A motorcycle, traveling at an excessive speed, caused a severe accident in Cambridge, England. The motorcyclist, who was approaching from the opposite direction on a two-lane road, collided with a car attempting to turn onto a side road. The driver of the car fell onto the road, and the motorcycle ignited due to damage to its fuel tank. The resulting fire spread to the road, and the motorcycle, as it was being dragged, damaged both a car and an ambulance. The motorcyclist, identified as Stavius Gordon, 31, has been charged with reckless driving and fined £120.

Governor Phil Murphy urged residents to stay home, as submerged vehicles and flooded roads paralyzed districts like Somerville and Plainsville. In New York City, subway lines 1, 2, and 3 were suspended, with water pouring into stations like 23rd Street. Social media footage showed stairwells turning into waterfalls and passengers stranded in subway cars.
Floodwaters also disrupted traffic on Manhattan’s FDR Drive. Nearly 18 million people across the East Coast, including in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, remain under flood warnings.
