Muslims across the globe gathered to celebrate Eid al-Adha with prayers and unity. Thousands filled Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem despite Israeli restrictions, while Gazans performed prayers in streets amid rubble due to ongoing Israeli bombardments. In Syria’s Damascus, Muslims prayed at the Umayyad Mosque for the first time since the Assad regime’s fall.
In Mecca, 1.67 million Hajj pilgrims performed the Eid prayer at the Kaaba. Mosques in Tokyo, Istanbul, Baku, Sarajevo, and Cologne also saw large turnouts. Sermons across these cities emphasized solidarity, resistance, and prayers for peace, especially for those suffering in Gaza.
