The U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) have determined the final launch date for the James Webb Space Telescope. At first, NASA was expecting to launch its strongest telescope James Webb in 2018, but launch had delayed due to technical difficulties and then the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. NASA stated that Webb has been placed into Ariane 5 rocket on Thursday then transported to launch pad at European Spaceport, the Guiana Space Center in Kourou, French Guiana. According to NASA, the James Webb Space Telescope will be launched into space from Arianespace’s ELA-3 launch complex at European Spaceport on December 25. While being considered the world’s most powerful and complex space observatory, Webb will settle into orbit about 1 million miles from Earth in about a month, and will begin collecting the first data and images in 2022.
