NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has expressed gratitude for Türkiye’s efforts to resurrect the Black Sea grain agreement. During a European Parliament joint committee meeting, Stoltenberg discussed NATO-EU relations and the Ukraine situation. He highlighted the importance of NATO-EU cooperation and commended the strengthening collaboration in various areas, including cybersecurity and infrastructure. Stoltenberg emphasized the severity of the conflict in Ukraine, underlining two strategic errors by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He praised NATO members for supporting Ukraine and its NATO membership bid. Stoltenberg also acknowledged Türkiye’s commitment to approving Sweden’s NATO membership and welcomed Türkiye’s initiatives to revive the Black Sea grain agreement.
