NATO Intercepts Iranian Missile Targeting Türkiye

The Ministry of National Defence announced that a ballistic missile launched from Iran toward Turkish airspace was neutralized by NATO defense elements in the Eastern Mediterranean. The missile, which crossed Iraqi and Syrian airspace, was destroyed mid-air before reaching its target. Debris found in the Dörtyol district of Hatay was identified as fragments from the interceptor, with no casualties or injuries reported. Officials emphasized their resolute capacity to defend national territory and warned regional parties against actions that spread conflict. The Ministry stated that Türkiye reserves the right to respond to hostile acts and remains in close consultation with NATO allies.
