Five NATO warships from Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey arrived in Batumi, Georgia. The ships will conduct exercises in Georgian territorial waters together with the Georgian Coast Guard. It was stated that the aim of the exercise is to enhance cooperative activities and strengthen relations between Georgia and NATO, and to improve defense capabilities of Georgia

An 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, triggering a tsunami warning across the Pacific coast. Officials reported over 50 aftershocks and minor building damage. No casualties were recorded. Tsunami waves reached up to 4 meters, flooding parts of Severo-Kurilsk port. Authorities evacuated 2,700 residents, and emergency measures remain in place.
