According to a statement issued by the Nepal Army Spokesperson, the plane carrying 22 people crashed in the Mustang region of northern Nepal. “The search for other people continues,” said Tribhuvan International Airport Spokesperson Tek Raj Sitaula. The search and rescue operations resumed today after being halted yesterday due to adverse weather.

The plane flying from Nepal’s tourist city of Pokhara to the town of Jomsom in the country’s west had vanished on Sunday. 22 people on board the plane were reported to be Indian, 2 were German, and 16 were Nepalese.

Hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets after Friday prayers to protest Israel’s recent attacks on the country. The largest gatherings occurred in the capital, Tehran, where demonstrators marched following prayers at Tehran University.

High-ranking officials, including Iran’s Constitutional Court head Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei and former IRGC commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, joined the protest. Participants waved Iranian, Palestinian, and resistance group flags, and trampled on Israeli and US flags laid on the ground.

Protesters held banners reading “Down with Israel”, “Down with the US”, and “The Zionist regime will be destroyed”, while chanting slogans such as “We stand behind our leader”, “Everyone who clashed with Khamenei will eventually be destroyed”, and “Our right to nuclear weapons”.
