The wreckage of the crashed Tara Air plane and the bodies of 14 people were found in Nepal during the search and rescue efforts launched after the plane lost contact with the tower shortly after takeoff. According to a statement issued by the Nepal Army Spokesperson, the plane carrying 22 people crashed in the Mustang region of northern Nepal. “The search for other people continues,” said Tribhuvan International Airport Spokesperson Tek Raj Sitaula. The search and rescue operations resumed today after being halted yesterday due to adverse weather.

The plane flying from Nepal’s tourist city of Pokhara to the town of Jomsom in the country’s west had vanished on Sunday. 22 people on board the plane were reported to be Indian, 2 were German, and 16 were Nepalese.
