After eight years of the administration of the previous president Bidya Devi Bhandari, the 78-year-old newly elected President of Nepal, Ram Chandra Poudel, assumed office after being sworn in on Monday.
Poudel won the March 9 presidential election as the candidate supported by eight parties and became the third president of the country.
