In Tunisia, the new government led by Najla Bouden Romdhane sworn in the Carthage Palace in the presence of President Kais Saied. Tunisia’s new Prime Minister, Romdhane, said at the swearing-in ceremony that state institutions should be restructured. She added that her government will try to regain the trust of the international community in the Tunisian state. “We aim to improve the living conditions of the citizens and to open the field of investment” Romdhane said.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said peace talks between Russia and Ukraine have been suspended, noting that while communication channels remain open, “it would be more accurate to say there has been a pause.”
Peskov accused European countries of obstructing dialogue but insisted Moscow remains ready for negotiations.
Russia and Ukraine held three rounds of direct talks this year in Istanbul, leading to prisoner exchanges but little progress toward ending the war.
