The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported that a new eruption occurred in the summit crater of Kilauea Volcano on Hawaii Island, USA, at 10:16 local time.

Authorities said that was limited to the national park and did not pose a threat to nearby areas.

The explosion has been the 9th since December 23.

The eruptions that occurred on Kilauea Volcano in 2018 and lasted for about 3 months destroyed more than 700 homes.
