The President of the Canary Islands, Angel Victor Torres, stated that the activities of Cumbre Vieja Volcano are not expected to end anytime soon, and no end in sight to volcanic eruptions. “Although this is the greatest desire of all, there is no sign that the end of the eruption is near”, Torres said.
The Spanish National Institute of Geography announced that a total of 42 earthquakes, the largest of which was 4.3, were recorded in La Palma in the last 24 hours.
