North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has reportedly instructed that his country’s new nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine be equipped with nuclear weapons.
“Naval sovereignty is an important part of national sovereignty. The development of our naval forces in line with the time and equipping them with nuclear weapons are of great importance to our national defense strategy,” Kim said, also stating that North Korea’s naval forces’ defensive capabilities will be fully utilized in all necessary waters without any restrictions.
Pyongyang has shared photos of its nuclear-powered submarine with the public for the first time.
