Norway has officially appointed Marie Antoinette Sedin as its first ambassador to Palestine, marking a boost in diplomatic ties. Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Kravik announced the move, calling it a step toward formal relations.
The appointment follows Norway’s recognition of Palestine in May, alongside Spain and Ireland. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store called the move an investment in a peaceful two-state solution in the Middle East.
