The hotel occupancy rate in the Cappadocia region, one of Türkiye’s crucial cultural tourism centers, reached 70 percent before the Eid al-Adha holiday.
“We expect an increase in the number of domestic tourists as Eid al-Adha has been extended to 9 days and coincides with June. The primary choice of our domestic guests will be the seaside, as it is the summer season. However, since the Cappadocia region is in the middle of Türkiye, it has become the first choice of our guests in east-west, north-south mobility. We predict that this will be the case this holiday as well,” said Tourism Manager Mehmet Dinler.
The Cappadocia region was added to UNESCO’s World Cultural and Natural Heritage list in 1985.
