The speeding vehicle rolled over several times on the street in the Mexican city of Poza Rica, which is located in the state of Veracruz. Amelia Salas, 16, died in the accident after being thrown out of the car’s window and hitting the pavement. Regina Vera, who was determined to be the driver of the vehicle, was injured in the accident. Three others on board reportedly fled the scene following the crash.

An investigation is underway into the incident.
