Typhoon Kompasu was effective in the south of Hong Kong. One was killed and 16 were injured in the typhoon that caused heavy rain and wind. The city was brought to halt as classes and government services were suspended. Traffic and public transport were disrupted ahead of several numbers of signals.
Although the Hong Kong Observatory announced that the impact of the typhoon has decreased, it warned the people of the region against heavy wind and floods.
