Over a hundred dead dolphins were found washed ashore near the Bosaso port of Somalia’s autonomous Puntland region.
The region’s fisheries minister, Abdirisak Abdulahi Hagaa, said that the deaths were not caused by the nets because there were no wounds or cuts on the fish and that they also do not think that toxic substances were the cause as other fish in the region were not affected.
An investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.
