During a strong storm near the Torkham border crossing on the Afghanistan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwest Pakistan, a landslide occurred. More than 20 trucks on the road were trapped. Two Afghans were killed in the disaster.
Heavy rains in Beijing and Hebei province triggered floods and landslides, killing four people and leaving eight missing. In Miyun, a Beijing suburb, 4,400 people were evacuated. Over 10,000 experienced power outages, and two roads in Pinggu were closed. Authorities reported 41 rivers overflowing nationwide and issued top-level flood alerts, warning of continued rainfall over the next three days. A flow rate of 6,550 cubic meters per second was recorded at the Miyun reservoir.
