The recently constructed Malkara-Çanakkale Highway and 1915 Çanakkale Bridge that connects Asia and Europe generated a significant amount of income for the Turkish economy, the Ministry of Transport announced. More than 2M vehicles have passed through the bridge since March 18, the opening day of the bridge to the public. A total of $415M was saved annually in terms of consumed time, fuel oil and emissions, the ministry said in the statement.
