Over 4,300 pieces of weapons seized by Afghan police

During operations over the last year, Afghan police have collected over 4,300 different types of weapons and a massive amount of ammunition, according to the state-run Bakhtar news agency.
“During the operations over the past year, our police have collected 4,365 pieces of various weapons, 291,331 rounds of bullets, 735 boxes of ammunitions, and 515 pieces of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines from irresponsible individuals,” Bakhtar said.

As part of efforts to ensure long-term peace and security in the war-torn country, the Taliban-led caretaker administration has pledged to collect arms and ammunition from anyone outside the security apparatus.
