Heavy rains that fell in different parts of Japan last night caused the collapse of a river embankment in Itami city of Hyogo Prefecture. About 10 houses and many vehicles were flooded in the Aramaki area near the river. Evacuation warnings were issued to 2,088 people in 828 households. The evacuation warning was lifted after about 3 hours as the water level in the river returned to normal. According to initial reports, there were no injuries or casualties during the incident.
