The number of passengers rescued from a train hijacked by the separatist Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Pakistan’s Balochistan province has risen to 190, while the security operation continues. Officials confirmed that 30 attackers have been neutralized.
The hostage situation remains critical as suicide bombers are reportedly positioned near captives, complicating rescue efforts. Authorities earlier reported 10 hostages killed and 37 injured.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif condemned the attack, emphasizing that targeting civilians during Ramadan shows the terrorists’ disconnect from Islam and Pakistan.
