Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif visited a village in Jaffarabad, one of the disaster areas where over a thousand people died, and came together with the casualties. He also supplied the citizens with aid materials from a helicopter. Sharif said that the disaster was bigger than estimated and issued a call for national unity.
According to the data of Pakistan National Disaster Management Authority, 5 million 773 thousand 63 people were affected by the flood. Authorities reported that 51,275 people were rescued from the flood, and 498,442 people were evacuated to safe areas.
