A Palestinian doctor working in the El-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital lost his wife, children, father, sibling, and other relatives in Israeli air attacks in the Gaza Strip. The heartbreaking footages of the doctor, namely Bassem Al Najjar, mourning for his loved ones once again showed the devastation caused by the Israel-Hamas war. The doctor’s father and sibling were buried, but his wife and kids are under the rubble of their house in Deir El-Balah.
Egyptian media reports that ceasefire talks between Hamas and Israel in Gaza, mediated by Qatar and Egypt, are set to resume next week. Israel is awaiting Hamas’s response to the ceasefire offer.
Israeli and US delegations, who were in Doha for negotiations, have returned home for consultations. The current agreement being discussed includes the exchange of hostages and prisoners, with plans for further talks on a permanent ceasefire and the release of additional hostages.
