A passenger plane flying from Guadalajara, Mexico to Los Angeles, USA had an engine breakdown in midair. After the engine caught fire, the plane was landed immediately. Fire department teams and emergency squads were readied to prevent a possible accident. No one was injured during the incident.
Viva Aerobus, the owner of the plane, stated that the fire in the engine was caused by a malfunction led the metals in the engine to rapidly hit each other. The company provided a hotel for the passengers to spend the night.
