A passenger in Bursa, Turkey, who had a ticket for a ferry from Bursa to Istanbul, false reported a bomb attack in the ferry after missing it.
Though the 400 passengers in the ferry were told that there was a malfunction on the ship in order to avoid causing panic, the ship and the passengers were searched in detail at another pier.
Other ferries that docked at the ports in Bursa and Istanbul were also searched.
The 22-year-old suspect was caught on his way from Bursa to Istanbul by a bus. The suspect who admitted false reporting was released by the court on condition of judicial control.
