In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Republic Day, Pegasus Airlines’ commemorative aircraft, marking the occasion, conducted a special flight under the designation PC-100C. Departing from Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Istanbul at 10:30, flight PC-100C followed a specific flight path in the skies above Ankara, creating the numeral ‘100.’ People tracking the aircraft using the flight radar application had the unique opportunity to witness the number ‘100’ displayed in the skies over Ankara.

The ancient city of Kibyra in Burdur’s Gölhisar district, historically known as the “city of gladiators,” offered a stunning backdrop during the Perseid meteor shower on August 12-13. Renowned for its Roman-era structures and multi-layered history, Kibyra is on UNESCO’s World Heritage Tentative List since 2016. Visitors were treated to views of the Odeon, Medusa mosaic, and monumental fountain, all set against the illuminated night sky over the Gölhisar Plain.
