Picasso’s ‘Woman with a Watch’ Sold for $139 Million

The famous painting “Femme a la montre” (Woman with a Watch), painted by the world-famous painter Pablo Picasso in 1932, was sold for a record price at an auction in New York, USA. The buyer, whose identity was not disclosed, paid $139.4 million for the work depicting Picasso’s lover, French model Marie-Therese Walter, known as his muse. The painting became the most expensive work of art sold at an auction this year.
