An explosion occurred on a gas pipeline, belonging to Pemex, in the Tabasco state of Mexico. In the explosion, which is stated to have occurred due to gas leakage, a 55-year-old man caught in the flames died and a child who got poisoned by the smoke was taken to the hospital.
Many firefighters were sent to the location and 113 citizens living in the surrounding area were evacuated from their homes for safety. Property damage was reported to some houses in the surrounding area.
Authorities stated that the gas line valve with a diameter of 50 centimeters was closed and the danger will pass after the gas in the pipe was exhausted.
